Kobe - At Night - 3

Noriko mentioned that Kobe is so beautiful at night along the harbour so we kept this until last on our agenda.
She was right, so beautiful with Kobe Port Tower illuminated. The 108-meter tower in the shape of a drum is the world's first pipe construction and is the symbol of the Port of Kobe along with the sail-like white sculpture that you see in one of our pictures. There are large ships that pass through the port which caters to dinner cruises, and they are beautifully illuminated as well.
We walked around the Harbour to a large pier mall. The girls wanted to have some fun so took us to the third floor to a shop which contained a large area of photo booths. You choose from the pictures on the booths which style of photos - cute, goth, glamour etc. You enter and once inside the booth, you have your pictures taken together and you can then choose to add things to the picture in written or picture form using a touch screen. It is like scrap booking but using the computer screens. We had so much fun doing this and you can see the final result in one of our pictures. Apparently young people like to do this and they use these pictures as stickers to put on personal items!!
Kobe is a very beautiful city, and we are so lucky to have such amazing tour guides!! It was sad to say goodbye to them as we do not know when we will meet again but they are very good at keeping in touch with us and we skype with Noriko when she is not too busy. Sayonara girls and hopefully we will meet again in the future somewhere!! Love you!!!
We were exhausted and we slept until 9am! the next morning! My body needed it. Today we are going to take it easy and hang out at the hotel catching up on our blog, skyping friends and family. We may even try the Sauna later. Tonight we are meeting Yumi, her sister and Kanako, who was our most recent student. She is fying from Tokyo to meet us. We feel so special!! We are going to all go out for dinner and tomorrow, Saturday, we will all meet up and tour Osaka.
