Quite a day

We received our passports yesterday afternoon with our travel package. How close was that to our departure! So today we had to run out and get photocopies of many of the important documents and also get our last Twinrex shots amongst other things. Yesterday Peter's glasses broke so he ran out in between jobs to find an optician who could do any eye exam and have the lens in stock at such short notice. Visions in Woodgrove Mall went out of their way to sort this out as Peter explained we were leaving Saturday on a big trip to pick up our new daughter and he needed glasses. His glasses were ready to pick up today, so we were very impressed with the very swift service.
When we had finished all our errands we got home at around 6 p.m and there was a message from Babies R Us that our crib was at the store!!!! We did not think it was going to arrive before we left so off Peter went to pick it up. Just as he got back, our house sitter arrived from Whidbey Island, U.S. near Seattle. I do not think we have stopped or sat down for hours. Our house sitter Sally is lovely and of course Kiana was there first - to be loved!! Sally and her friend John arrived with a Kayak and 2 bicycles on their car. They also stopped off in Ladysmith to do some snorkelling, taking advantage of the lovely weather of 30 degrees here. They could not get over our view and how close we are to the nearest beach for more kayaking and snorkelling adventures. They are going to have so much fun and we really appreciate them looking after our lovely pets. It makes us feel so much better that they will be so well looked after. Thank you Sally!!!!
Tomorrow, down at Neck Point, we will have our 7th annual Cavalier walk. Sally will take our dogs down and we will join them later in the day as we have final things to put in the suitcase and I cannot believe we are leaving tomorrow to pick up our baby! We will soon be there Emily!! Mummy and Daddy are coming!! xoxoxo
